PERSONAL BACKGROUND

      Colin has been a committed Christian for almost 50 years. Within that period, he has been an artist and educator for forty years, twenty of which have been in an international context. He is the editor of the Creative Spirit, a journal of the arts and faith.
   
      Maureen, his wife of more than 38 years, has a nursing background and is an early childhood educator. She has a particular focus on special needs children and has written curriculum for training programs established in Hawaii and Hong Kong. She has been a member of the international leadership team of the College of Education, University of the Nations.

Maureen and Colin founded the Little Light House, a tuition-free Christian developmental center for children from birth through six years of age who have special needs. The school opened in Brandon, Mississippi on January 9th, 2006, currently has 14 children and is financially supported by individuals, corporations, trusts, churches and annual fund raising events.

      Colin and Maureen have two sons, Paul (1970) and Mark (1972), and three beautiful granddaughters, Jade Rochel (1995 ), Tyra Rose (1999) and Brooke Lane (2001).
